magic question
say there's something that keeps someone alive in their world and if it doesn't exist, they don't
do you think it's possible to still exist in another world without it? like there's any chance that they just can
or does something have to keep them there on purpose
i get this is weird but i don't know a lot about magic
anyway thanks

I think it depends on the place. I don't know of any magic that can bring back the dead, just bring them back to consciousness. but maybe there is some magic or force at work that could do that here.
[ or similar. or whatever it is he's concerned about. besides, aerith was here not long ago and that brought with it so many questions. ]

[ It's not easy -- or comfortable -- to talk about, as much as he can't stop thinking about it. Takes him time to give his replies. ]
i mean there's so much weird stuff out there in different worlds that maybe it's possible. or maybe that's not what's going on here
[ Which has really been on his mind, and worrying him. But. Better not get too specific. ]
thought it couldn't hurt to ask

[ that's a hint that if he wants to talk about things more candidly, her bar is a lot safer than the network. ]

i'll come over if you need the help. can you give me an hour?
no subject
Sure. I'll be here.
[ when he makes his way in, he'll find her to the side of the main counter, closer towards the basement stairs, still obviously working, but also clearly waiting. ]

woke up in a weird village on presumably an alien planet where I may or may not have been just a clone of the original
escaped some 8 months later
woke up 6,000 miles away from where I died 6 months after my own funeral
now I'm here
so
that happened
no subject
[ just literally 'oh' for a moment there ]
that's a lot
sometimes people 'live' again where i'm from but they're still dead? they seem alive but they're not. they're a spirit except you wouldn't be able to tell
that doesn't sound like what happened to you though. i think?
have you ever heard of people coming back to life where you're from?
no subject
now it's not all that uncommon though. I have a friend who's died at least twice that I know of. and I know one guy that died and somehow time travelled his way back? so that was weird.
plus there was a big zombie attack not too long ago. and then when it ended everyone who had been a zombie was fine
like I said, weird nonsense

Not so much other places, but it's been my impression that once something is brought back and given an anchor in reality, it's stuck. Now, that condition may change as a can of whoop-ass is opened upon said thing. But once an anchor point's been established, that thing's set to existing.

we have people who sometimes come back like that too. back where i'm from. they died but instead of moving on or turning into a fiend, they looked and acted like other people. but you could still take them out
what i'm talking about is... say there's people that could make other people. but those people only existed if the ones who made them were around. you live and die and everything about you is like everyone else but if anything happens to them, you fade. you can't exist
can a new world be an anchor? or do they need something else to give them an anchor? like the people who made them did
[ Does he make sense? Is he asking too much? Is he sounding too close like he's trying to talk about something he shouldn't? But he just wants any other answers that he isn't finding in his own head. ]
Ooops forgot my htmls
[He's seen plenty of big guys go down and then all their followers just fade out.]
If that person is here, I suspect this place would be an anchor point. Now, I do wonder how it manages to carry a lotta magics from a lotta places, laws of science that wouldn't line up back home that line up here. There's a pretty solid base that can support all that, so I reckon it can easily handle the presence of a person who isn't. Lots of dead folk showing up alive here, after all.
text html always a butt tbh

Are you finding it increasingly difficult to continue existing?
[He remembers how odd Tidus' presence feels. There's a great deal of magic about the boy, and it seems he's aware of it.]

but. well. ]
no that's not it. i haven't faded or thought i was fading since i've been here
but that's the problem. i shouldn't exist if the thing isn't around to make me exist
i asked someone about it once and they said different worlds have different rules. i wanted to know if other people thought that was really the case
[ Even if he isn't entirely explaining his situation, and he can't mention about the chips......or the fact it was the Head he asked. ]

For all intents and purposes, Tidus, I should be dead, but here I am, living and breathing as though my last memory from home *wasn't* having my neck snapped like kindling.
Perhaps it is that simple, that other words have other rules, but it would be strange if this one law differed from all others in terms of physics, wouldn't it?

why are you asking?
no subject
just overthinking things
no subject
what things are you overthinking?

i didn't know how someone can stick around somewhere when that's not what they're supposed to do you know?
someone said anything is possible in other worlds but it's been hard to wrap my head around
something like that doesn't just leave you
that's why i wanted to know what other people thought about it
no subject
are we? we're all supposed to be somewhere else
where do you think you should be?
