[tomorrow is good, gives her time to finally stop putting it off and get some paint supplies]

(would you rather continue here or want me to copy/paste this as a log starter? i'm good w either!)
South shows up about mid-morning, not wanting to be the inconvenient asshole who pops in at the asscrack of dawn, but not wanting to make the chick sit around waiting all day. She doesn't have anything fancy for her supplies, not yet anyways, just everything loose in a bag as she waltzes up.
And while she of course knows better than to wear anything she likes when playing with paint, she isn't going to go to meet and help a possibly, probably cute girl in anything grungy. She's opted for her usual tight jeans and military boots, black studded belt, and fitted purple tank top. No jacket or coat, it's not really chilly enough for her to layer up just yet, and she's not dumb enough to wear long sleeves to paint.]
(i don't have another log set up yet so here is good for now i think!)
When South shows up Jane's a little surprised, since she expected everyone would show up late-afternoonish even though she never specified a time. At least they can get started early, she guesses.
The cute girl is unfortunately hookup-adverse, but she's going to be friendly to South unless given a reason not to be. She opens the door and gestures the other woman inside.]
Hey, helper. Which one are you?
(sounds perf <3)
Also, not her fault she's a surprise guest, no time given and she has silly reasons for the shit she does]
The one and only South Dakota
[Ah pride and ego, a big cocky smile]

First name South, last name Dakota? [Jane's also not great at admiration, generally just taking people as they are. She also leans more toward the skeptical side, but at the moment isn't about to turn down the help she can get.]
You're my wall-scaler, right? I'm the owner's proxy, Jane. [She holds out a hand, smiling.] Crazy Jane.
no subject
[It's her Freelancer codename, but, whatever. Her real name is for her. Fuck it.]
That's me, just point me where you need a wall scaled [She nods again, shaking the hand as her head tilts curiously] Crazy Jane? Sounds like you're going to be lots of fun, I love crazy.
no subject
If you like crazy you'll love-slash-hate me. At least for awhile. [She flashes a smile at South and then points outward.] Do your best outside. It doesn't have to be perfect, and you can add anything you want.
no subject
You want anything specific, though? A general theme like, animals or skyscapes or anything?
no subject
My plan was just "FUCK DUALIS" in huge letters so. No theme, you can write or draw anything you want.
no subject
Oh, snap! [she lets out a loud, overly and thoroughly amused laugh] not a fan of this place, huh?
no subject
Nah. I know anywhere you're trapped and forced to open up is bullshit. They're not even trying hard enough to let us pretend we're happy. I mean, are you?
no subject
[She gives an 'eh' kind of noise and a wavy gesture with her free hand. It's not the worst place she's been, exactly, but the "how"s and "why"s of waking up here is fucking bullshit. As far as the body guard stuff, a job's a job. The lady hasn't given her the impression of trying to hurt anyone or let them get hurt, so, she's had to keep less amicable people alive before.]

[Jane's experiences with anything related to mandated stays or sharing set off alarm bells. In Dualis she's either extremely paranoid or a Cassandra reference.]
You don't have to curse the city out though. I get it if your job might be a factor. You can still paint what you want out there.
no subject
Nah, if they wanna fire me over having my own thoughts or opinions, they can go fuck a cactus. [She shrugs, it's not like the job has what it promised- she hasn't gotten to fight a goddamn person or thing while on mayor-sitting duty. Off the clock, just once, but nothing as exciting as she believed while guarding someone who's supposed to be important.]
no subject
That's what I like to hear. Fuck censorship. Take what you want.
no subject
She doesn’t ask more questions, if Jane wants it in fancy calligraphy style or something like bubble letters, “classic” graffiti font- it’s an endless list of possibilities, she figures she’ll wing it and decide on something as she goes along]
You know where to find me if you need me [she adds before starting back outside in an unnecessary rush,, figuring the girl would probably come check up on her progress or whatever at some point before long and wanting to have something to show for it]
no subject
[She is curious about what South will paint. When she said no limits she meant it, even THIS GALLERY FUCKING SUCKS would be fine by her.]
I do. And I might grab doughnuts. What kind do you like?
no subject
Dude. It’s donuts, you literally can’t pick something I won’t like. If you wanna throw free food at me, I sure as hell won’t complain.
