You never realize the work that goes into that kinda stuff until you've gotta do it yourself, do you?

[It was an eye-opening experience. Yet... he'd enjoyed it there. Sure sometimes things were a pain in the ass, but the simple work felt more meaningful than what he's done with himself so far.]

You know him? [Did he perk up a little?] Was... so he made it back home. That's good.

[It might also sound a little bit mournful. He misses the guy. A hell of a lot more than he finds easy to admit.]

It can be, yes.

[She'd grown up in a difficult environment where finding food was difficult though she'd never tried hunting. Instead her brother resorted thievery or they relied on the kindness of those who'd known them since they were young.]

He did. [Wanda has complicated feelings about Tony Stark.]

Were you two close?

[Food was never something he had to struggle for, fortunately, instead he got to deal with rogue dinosaurs breaking out of the Training Center and trying to turn them into lunch.

Those were fun times.]

Yeah, you could say that. [Is he feeling a little nostalgic? Maybe. Or maybe it's the blood loss and he's light-headed. That could be a thing too.] He was...

He gave me a chance.

[And that meant a lot to this stupid kid who plays with swords.]

[Wanda feels herself smiling before realizing that the fond expression had taken over her features.]

He's good at that, giving people chances that is, even if they might not deserve it. He gave me a chance too. [It feels like that'd been a life time ago.]

I am... I have experienced more than the Tony from the village. I don't know how much you're comfortable knowing but he had a daughter. She's wonderful. [Wanda adored Morgan, even after meeting the young girl only a few times.]

[As it's audio, Seifer has no idea and cannot call her on it. Let it be known that he might have otherwise!]

Yeah... [Seufer sure didn't have any credentials that implied he could do the work. Yet Tony allowed him anyway. It had turned out to be a huge turning point for him.] Did you think you didn't deserve it, too?

I don't mind learnin' more. Didn't really get a chance to know much, wasn't there for that long once I was. [Which was sad, because he really liked talking to Tony. One of the only adults in his life who actually seemed both competent and actually gave a shit about him as more than a tool. All of whom came from the village.]

She's smart, right? Bet she's crazy smart like her dad.

You could say that.

[She'd been mislead, it hadn't exactly been her fault but she felt the weight of guilt that came with every life that had been lost because of her actions.]

When I first met him, I wanted to kill Stark. [Who he'd been hadn't mattered to her and her brother. They'd wanted Stark to feel the pain that they felt after losing their parents to one of his weapons.]

She is. She's going to grow up into an impressive young woman.

[The wistful tone to her voice returns though Wanda tries to cover it up.]

[In that case they might have more in common than they realize. A hell of a lot more, as Seifer definitely understands the weight of a guilt that might not be entirely his to bear. Didn't stop him from carrying it anyway.]

Makes that good a first impression, huh? [He doesn't know the reason, but from what he's heard about their world it could be any number of things.]

She his and Pepper's kid?

[Oh he heard it there, and wonders at it slightly. Just chalks it up to homesickness. Their home sounds like somewhere worth going back to.]

At the time it was mutual. [There had been no love lost between Tony Stark, the Avenger's and the twins. Now things were different but it had taken over a year for her to really turn things around and even then she ended up butting heads with him.]

Yes.

She's four or was when I saw her last.

Huh. Yeah, know how that goes. [Starting off on the wrong foot with everyone around him is just how Seifer do.] What happened anyway?

{This boy doesn't have the tact to realize that might be an inappropriate question. Not that he'd care so much.]

Damn. Didn't realize she was that young.

Stark's weapons killed my parents when I was very young. After that my brother and I did everything we could to protect our home, to keep those weapons and the people who sought to use them out of Sokovia.

I thought I was protecting my home but that desire was used against me. I fought the Avengers and Tony before I realized that I was on the wrong side.

[She'd done some terrible things to them and they somehow forgave her.]

[Ah. Well then. Does he sure understand a hell of a lot of what's going on there.]

...Y'know. That explains a few things. Like why he was so adamant about not makin' weapons in his forge.

[She can't see the frowning, but it's there. These are details he had no idea about, there was only so much time Tony had to tell him about Earth and he'd mostly picked pop culture. Easier, he suspected.]

[The last part is grumbled more to himself than to her. He's tired and losing blood don't mind him.]

Yeah, know how that goes.

[On the wrong side thing. Being confused about being forgiven after. What's up with these guys?]

Yeah, I do not think Stark knew what was going on at the time.

I think he took it hard.

[She has mixed feelings about him but over all Wanda likes Tony.]

Can't imagine you can keep track of everything you build.

[Not on a scale much beyond that of the village. Certainly not on the scale it sounded like Tony built things.]

Then you shouldn't build weapons.

[It's one of the things about Stark that she appreciated. Once he learned of what had been happening, he worked hard to stop it.]

I suppose.

[Cautiously. Probably better not to tell her he hammers out knives like they're going out of style to keep himself sane. Granted they're just all in a useless pile right now but still.]

Must be nice livin' somewhere you got the liberty of not bein' armed.

I wish I actually knew what that was like.

[Wanda is an idealist but she knows that a world without war, weapons and conflict doesn't exist. There is no place in the universe like that.]

You and me both, then. I hear rumors it's a thing somewhere. Sounds like fairy tales.

[Seifer's fairly pessimistic. He doesn't forsee a future without constant strife. Hell he doesn't see much of a future at all.]

It does.

[She isn't a pessimist but Wanda doesn't know if happiness exists for her. She looses everyone she's ever loved.]

We should talk more, in person, maybe about happier things.

I've got a handful of people I owe in-person explanations to once I'm back at the dorms. But I'll be free after interrogations.
