[Revan's sitting in one of the dorm kitchens, drinking something or other out of a mug with a cartoon penguin on it. Her lightsabers aren't visible behind the table and she's not wearing her robes, just a nondescript black shirt with a pushed-back hood, so the only possible hint she's a Jedi is that both her hands are visible and her phone appears to be held at eye level--she's levitating it with the Force.]
Has anyone seen any animals in the city outside the zoo? I haven't. No birds, no stray pets, not even any vermin...so nothing's coming into city limits from the forest, or there's nothing in the forest, either.
[She pauses to take another sip of her caf or whatever it is they call their bitter brown caffeinated liquid here.]
Speaking of forests, how do people feel about camping?
[No reason. Certainly not checking to see if she can just up and walk out of this crappy city to somewhere with a spaceport.
OOC: Action threads are fine for all those too paranoid for the network!]

[Weirdly, a bunch of planets with the same ecosystem over their entire surfaces...but those are still ecosystems.]

[‘cause not knowing two pretty common animals seems weird to jason.]
Cats come in all sizes. Mammal, four-legged, usually furry with a tail. They’re carnivorous predators. Bigger types tend to be wild, and the smaller ones are more domesticated. People keep ‘em as pets. One of the cafés in town has a bunch of ‘em, if you wanna see ‘em up close.

My friend might enjoy that.
[Pause.]
Really my friend, not me pretending I'm going to bring a friend because I don't want to admit I like cute things.

[What Revan lacks in memories she makes up for in self-assurance.]

Survey says ... yeah, it still counts. Not that there’s anything wrong with liking cute stuff - or cats, for that matter. Hell, I ended up taking a little brat home with me, and I’m really more of a dog person. [he pauses for a second, then adds:] Do you know what a dog is?

Okay, "dog" I recognize.
...You don't mean akk dogs, do you?
[Because, uh.]

[and that’s probably for the best, ‘cause #yikes.]
People where I’m from tend to say they’re either a dog person or a cat person - meaning they like one better than the other. Cats and dogs are pretty famous for not getting along, so I guess that’s supposed to be a sign of whether you’ll get along with someone else - if they like the same pets as you. [he considers that explanation for a moment, then adds:] It actually sounds pretty dumb, now that I’m saying it out loud.
