I'm not spending any fucking money on a bracelet, so, just as a warning, don't tag me or you will regret it. [ She may not look particularly intimidating but what she lacks in physical prowess, she more than makes up for by being filled with rage and an impressive amount of teenage passive aggressiveness. She gives a rough shake of her head, annoyed, rolling her eyes. ] This shit just seems like a good way to get punched.
[ Huff puff. Debbie Downer here is not into this shit, ok.
She may or may not be bored at work, as well, so if you're in the neighborhood for some alcohol in a dimly lit dingy bar (that didn't bother with getting a sign, so markers away), please come annoy the new bartender. She can be found leaning on the scuffed counter, scrolling through her phone with a perpetual sour expression on her face. Please don't ask for anything too complicated because she'll just make it up and you won't be happy. ]

[For now it would be enough.]

[What were the words for it? How can you break cities down in understandable ways? Deling was one of the few back home that needed it, and they described districts by what was in them.]
I think he called it 'Manhattan'. I think that's a city inside a city? I don't know, Earth sounds weird.
no subject
Yeah, some of the larger cities on Earth kind of divide themselves up. I think it has to do with how large the populations usually are. NYC is huge, drove up there once to try the pizza. [ There's a little warmth now to her tone. ] The pizza alone is a good reason to give the city a visit, even if some of the people are dicks.

I've met terrible people before. But I've never had good pizza. Just passable. Curry, that's where it's at.
no subject
I've never had curry, actually. I can't really see it being better than a good slice of pie, though.

[Apparently that's a thing where he's from, and Nida always adored it.]
So, if you're from Earth but not New York, where in the world there are you from?
no subject
Nowhere, really. [ Liar. ] My dad and I traveled a lot for his work so I spent a lot of time in a lot of cities but never one place for too long. Nothing exciting, honestly. Eventually, all American cities end up being the same unless they're one of the 'big ones'.
[ Only if you don't have a social life and exist solely at home, school, or the local mall. ] Is it like that where you come from?
no subject
Sounds like a military kid to me. Am I right?
Oh boy, Hyne is a mess and a half. Sure you're ready for that mess?
no subject
And, to be fair, I bet most people's worlds are a mess. I know mine is. [ As much as she dislikes her current situation, she can't help but feel a tug of curiosity. Other worlds are fascinating, after all. ]

[He had been offended on Leonardo Di Vinci's behalf.]
no subject
I'm guessing your world works a little better in that regard?
no subject
[And he knows that he got eyed a bit back then for not being straight. Whatever. Like he cared.]
no subject
What's your world got? How's shit for people there?
no subject
But it isn't always easy. I've gotten side eye for displays of affection with other men.
no subject
At least you probably don't have to worry about that shit here.

—Hold up. ]
Like Leonardo da Vinci? [ She sounds a touch skeptical but there's giddy excitement layered beneath. ] Like The Last Supper da Vinci? Mona Lisa? Virgin of the fucking Rocks? [ All right, that name had a little embellishment but she is a little bit or an art nerd. She may or may not have owned one of those hipster artsy coffee table books all about the great renaissance man. ]
no subject
Which would probably mean nothing to her.
no subject
[ Haven't people complained about weapon loss or something? Fuck, lame. ]

[Nida is less than pleased. Now he's back to just sticks.]
I was going to have him do a naginata next. Guess I will have to buy one.
no subject
Hope you find one. [ As safe as this place likes to seem, better safe than sorry. ]
