[ The video opens to a messy head of black hair and red eyes with a slight glow. The skin is far to pale made worse by that dark hair, and the horrible goatee he has. What is it with super scientists and goatees? Behind the face is clearly a lab of some kind, He was in the hospital but on break.

He took a breath before smiling, trying to hide his teeth, which was useless as the fangs were visable as soon as he started speaking. ]

Good evening to everyone listening. My name is doctor Michael Morbius, maybe some of you know me, or of me. [ He hopes not, seriously. Last thing he wanted was people screaming about his body count.] I am not here as much to ask for help, I can figure most things here out myself. I am addressing everyone to more see has anyone found a common link between us who are brought here?

[ Please dont all be monsters, mmmkay?

He spoke on then in his Grecian accent.]

If their is already a group investigating this, please let me know. I am merely curious.

So, Morbius, did the Head address what they're going to do about your blood needs?

[Yeah, someone knows of you.]

The Head insisted the city has a synthetic substitute that will not conflict with my peculiar condition.

[ He feels like he should know who this is, but he felt asking would be rude. He so hated to be rude. ]

[Too bad Michael doesn't have a specific reason to know about the young, former mutant.]

That's good news. I'd hate to have to take care of people with puncture marks at their neck.

[ Not a single one, and more so not after his stint in prison and faked death in the last year or so. ]

You act as if I do not clean up after myself given the choice. That is a little rude, my young friend.

Perhaps, but frankly, the files the X-Men kept on you are a bit older than I'd like. And you might not have the resources here you had at home. I've seen more than a few people a bit restrained here.

[Like himself. So much he's forgotten.]

Well, that is certainly curious, if I do say so myself. I will have to test this, perhaps it has a purpose, or maybe it is something else. How many people are restrained here?

[ He asked as he folded he leaned back in the chair some his hands folded on the arm rests, letting his long claw like nails be seen. ]

As in how many people are in the city, or how many are here that don't have their full spread of powers? I can't answer either, but both are good questions.

[Is it wrong that David just wants to offer the guy a nail clipper?]

Well, now I know what I will be focusing on, at least in the preliminary stages of figuring this place out. Thank you, Oh, yes. You have me at a disadvantage, you know my name but I don't know yours.

[ It wouldn't help anyway. ]

[ Michael rolled his eyes at the name change, and didn't even try to hide it. Being a genius himself, he knows that who that comes with it.]

Former mutant? Color me curious, Mr. Alleyne. How did you cure yourself of a genetic level mutation?

Oh yes, those modifications, I have little interest.

Are you telling me that you missed M-Day? The Decimation?

[How did someone like Morbius miss that?]

I've been a little busy. A little incarcerated when that happened.

[ Not really an excuse but he thought most effected had already alrwady regained their a abilities. ]

[Yeah, no. Regaining hasn’t happened. Those that had were lucky. David? Not lucky.]

Yeah, well, there is your explanation.

Any time I could have spared to even learn about it was taken up by the zombie epidemic.

[ He grumbled a bit, bad memories there, in truth he was probably already being tortured by his zombie self and not even in prison yet when M-Day hit, that whole year sucked. ]

[Yeah, life is just like that, he gets it.]

Basically magic stripping a whole bit of your genetics sucks.

[And no real way to turn it back on.]

I was Psychomimetic.

As someone who has experienced the opposite, I can commiserate.

[ He wasn't born a vampire, he wasn't turned, he wasn't a mutant. He did this to himself by accident. ]

Yes, that would not be an easy power to mimick by any means. And I suppose these tattoos also do not work for anything of the like?

[Yeah, that is pretty talented, Michael. But David doesn't mind that point. Morbius, though, was a wonderfully fitting name for a guy that ended up in his position, right?]

Nothing restores a part of you like that.

[ Talents how he got that Nobel Prize, his bad luck however is where everything else came from. A fitting name indeed. ]

A fine point. I do apologize if my idly hypothesizing has stirred unwanted feelings.

It's fine. But hey, if someone like you is still alive, maybe you could re-earn some points with the mutants if you figured out how to fix that. Doubt it's possible, but it might be an interesting challenge.

[David, though, never had the skills for that.]

[ He chuckles at that, an oddly nice sound from someone who looks like a bad Halloween costume gone wrong. ]

Oh, sweet summer child, I've not exactly stayed alive, while I am in fact a living vampire, I have died many times. I simply just keep getting back up. I have a very interesting physiology, and one I do not wish on anyone.

However, maybe if you would like I could take a sample of your blood for study and see if there is anything that can be done, but I would need more information.

And here I've only got one death under my belt. [It's not the most common story, but it happens enough in hero circles.]

Still... what would 'more information' entail?

[How far is David willing to go for his powers? He doesn't even know.]

[ Morbius dies a lot. He's not even phased by death anymore. AS long as the old ticker keeps going each time he doesn't care. He doesn't want to be a real vampire.]

You get used to it. If you've revived once, you will again should it happen again.

AS in, do they know what caused it, what exactly happened. I will need information and time, and no promises will be given of being able to do anything but I do enjoy having a mystery to unravel.

Most people don't tend to have to have their heart regrown by an Omega-Class mutant. And the situation isn't one that is likely to be repeatable, seeing as that mutant isn't here.

[Mysteries keep life interesting.]

No clue what caused it, but given timing, it's either the process that got us here, or a deliberate choice by what brought us. And I've lost a good deal of my practical knowledge. Can still tell you how Emma Frost and Scott Summers like to kiss, but I've lost a ton of other things.

Well, yes, that one is not one I have heard before either. You must certainly have friends in high places.

[ He just gets Ring style calls from Ghost Rider reminding him if he messes up he's a dead man. ]

...Anyone with eyes can tell you that. Is Ms Grey dead again? [ He can't and doesnt keep track anymore. ]

Actually it was my roommate from Xavier’s. So not really high places. I was lucky he was there. And had just had some telepaths dump Dr. McCoy’s medical knowledge into his head.

I hadn’t checked recently. But there were more issues with the Phoenix force.
